Mr Nav Kara

About

Mr Kara is a Consultant ENT Surgeon. He has his NHS practice at Darlington Memorial Hospital. He qualified from the University of Aberdeen and continued his ENT training across Scotland and the North of England.

Mr Kara provides a general Ear Nose and Throat service, offering consultations and operations for a wide range of ENT problems. He works with a team of audiologists, balance therapists, and speech & language therapists to provide a complete range of care.

Mr Kara has a specialist interest in nasal conditions and is the Lead Rhinologist in his department. He has expert knowledge to deal with allergies, complex/revision sinus surgery, nasal polyps, nasal blockage/deformity due to trauma and deviated nasal septums.

In the past Mr Kara has had the positions of Departmental Clinical Lead and also Clinical Governance Lead. Mr Kara is keen to improve the patient experience and is therefore, always looking for new techniques to aid this.

He has a strong focus on patient safety strongly believes that this can only be achieved with open and honest dialogue with patients.  

He offers outpatient procedures such as nasal endoscopy, wax removal and nasal cautery.
