Mr Mohammed Bahgat is an ENT Consultant at Consultant Choice Clinic in Stockton-On-Tees along with Woodlands Hospital in Darlington. He sees NHS, insured and self-pay patients. Mr Bahgat regularly performs functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) with a particular focus on the management of revision and advanced cases. This includes:

• Benign and malignant tumours of the nasal cavities
• Fungal rhinosinusitis
• Endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks

He works regularly with colleagues in neurosurgery on pituitary and skull base surgeries and is a regular member of both pituitary and skull base multi-disciplinary meetings. He works with chest physicians to optimise nasal symptoms in patients with uncontrolled asthma or COPD.

Mr Bahgat has been invited as a faculty member in the national advanced sinus surgery cadaveric course, and the annual international facial plastic surgery course.

In addition to his expertise in rhinology and facial plastic surgery, Mr Bahgat treats general ENT conditions, such as:

Mr Bahgat has a keen interest in research. He dedicated over a year to a full-time research position in Wales before commencing his registrar training. His research focused on investigating the quality of life and swallowing outcomes following various treatment modalities for head and neck cancers. This included surgery and/or chemoradiotherapy. The findings were presented at multiple international conferences. He has over 20 research papers published in international journals in the field of ENT.
